Betting Glossary — Key Terms Explained

New to online betting or casino games? Here's a plain-English breakdown of the terms you'll encounter most at d9999 and across the industry.

Asian Handicap

A form of betting popular in cricket and football where one team is given a virtual head start (or deficit) to level the playing field. It eliminates the draw outcome and gives you better value odds, especially on lopsided matches.

Over-Under (Totals)

A bet on whether the combined total score, runs, or goals in a match will be higher or lower than a line set by the bookmaker. Great for cricket betting where you can predict total runs in an innings.

Odds Formats

Odds are displayed in three main formats — Decimal (most common in Pakistan, e.g., 2.50), Fractional (British style, e.g., 3/2), and American/Moneyline (+150 or -200). d9999 lets you switch between all three formats easily.

RTP (Return to Player)

The theoretical percentage of all wagered money a slot or casino game will pay back to players over a long period. A slot with 96% RTP returns Rs96 for every Rs100 wagered on average. Higher RTP means better long-term value.

House Edge

The mathematical advantage the casino holds over players in any given game. For example, European Roulette has a house edge of 2.7%, while Blackjack played with optimal strategy can drop below 0.5%. Knowing this helps you choose smarter games.

Wagering Requirement

Also called rollover or playthrough, this is the number of times you need to bet your bonus amount before you can withdraw winnings. A Rs1,000 bonus with a 25x requirement means you must wager Rs25,000 in total before cashing out.

Live Dealer Casino

Games streamed in real time with a human dealer dealing actual cards or spinning a real roulette wheel. You play via an interface on your device while watching the live feed — the closest experience to a physical casino without leaving home.

Slot Volatility

Describes how often and how much a slot pays out. Low volatility slots pay smaller amounts frequently — good for longer sessions. High volatility slots pay rarely but in much bigger amounts — suited for players chasing big wins with larger bankrolls.

Progressive Jackpot

A jackpot that grows incrementally as players across a network of casinos place bets — a small percentage of each bet feeds the prize pool. These jackpots can reach millions of rupees before being triggered by one lucky player.

Cashback

A promotional rebate where the casino returns a percentage of your net losses over a defined period, usually weekly or monthly. For example, a 10% cashback on Rs5,000 in losses means Rs500 credited back to your account — a safety net for active players.

Account Verification (KYC) Guide

Know Your Customer (KYC) is a standard identity verification process required by all licensed online casinos worldwide — including d9999. It protects both the platform and you against fraud, money laundering, and underage gambling. Here's everything you need to know to get verified quickly.

Documents Typically Required
  • Valid Pakistani ID — CNIC, Driver's License, or Passport
  • Proof of Address — Utility bill (WAPDA, SNGPL, PTCL) dated within 3 months
  • Selfie Holding ID — Clear photo of yourself holding your ID document
  • Payment Method Verification — Screenshot or confirmation of your JazzCash/EasyPaisa account linked to the same mobile number
Step-by-Step Verification Process
1
Log In and Go to Account Settings

After logging into your d9999 account, navigate to the "My Profile" or "Verification" section from your dashboard.

2
Upload Your Identity Documents

Upload clear, well-lit photos of your CNIC (front and back), passport bio page, or driver's license. File formats accepted: JPG, PNG, PDF.

3
Submit Proof of Address and Selfie

Upload your recent utility bill and take a live selfie holding your ID as instructed. Make sure all four corners of the document are visible and text is legible.

4
Wait for Confirmation

The d9999 compliance team reviews submissions within 24–48 hours. You'll receive an email or in-app notification once verified. Most accounts clear in under 24 hours.
